Kadeem Nichols is a singer, songwriter, musician and producer all in one. He has the ability to apply his weird and unique personality to his music, creating art without limit. Having no intention of being a carbon copy, he strives to build an original catalog of work, forming a genre of his own.

 

This NEW YORK native was born with a passion for the arts. At the age of 7, he was given minimal piano and drum training, which later expanded his musical mind far beyond what he imagined. His parents’ interest in all genres of music exposed him to be influenced of Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Beres Hammond, David Rudder, Sam Cooke, Hank Williams, Bob Dylan and Prince.

 

A life threatening accident at the age of 14 would change his life forever. He was struck by a speeding van traveling over 80 miles per hour while crossing the street. But by God's grace, he survived with no broken bones, fractures, brain damage or pain. "That time in the hospital changed my life forever. God spoke to me clearly, letting me know that He has a purpose for me, and that He spared my life so that I may live out that purpose with no excuses".

 

Kadeem’s vocal ability, range and phenomenal ear are what made him stand out amongst his peers. As he began to be noticed by others, these skills provided him with opportunities to sing behind some of the Greatest Gospel artists (including Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, and Alvin Slaughter).

 

While completing his education in Music Business and Jazz Commercial Theory at the college of his choice (B.A, 2012), he released his first single to the public: "Alien".  This song encouraged listeners to stand out amongst the crowd and be who God intended them to be. Well received on campus, he began to push it into his local community and later the New York Tri-State area.
